Our Organization

Elise Cerami was a passionate, experienced, and physically fit competitive swimmer who drowned during warm-ups at a club practice on June 20, 2016. In her honor, the Swim4Elise Foundation was established to initiate “a positive wave of change.” Today, the Swim4Elise Foundation works to raise awareness of water safety through community outreach education and swimming scholarships.

    MISSION

Our mission is based on an inspirational poem Elise wrote when she was nine years old.

With her words as our mantra and guiding light, our mission is to:

We believe Elise would want everyone to be smarter around water. That's why we strive to meet our mission through:

    Outreach Education

We provide Daycare Outreach education across the community during the summer months. We teach children to have a designated, capable water watcher before accessing water.

    Lifeguard Certifications

We equip those closest to the water with lifesaving water safety skills by sponsoring lifeguard certifications for North Texas Swimming Athletes and Coaches.

    Swimmer Scholarships

We share our water safety message with North Texas Swimming Athletes and recognizing dedicated swimmers with swim camp and college scholarships.

Questions? Want to get involved with our mission? Interested in sponsoring our annual Run4Elise? Please reach out. We are eager to share our message with the community at large and welcome your support.
